Last Wednesday I attended an event organized by the Deutsche Tajikische Gesellschaft in Berlin where clothes for girls or women were presented and traditional dances were shown. The man surrounded by the beautiful tajik girls wearing beatiful clothes is the tajik embassador.

Learning Farsi and Tajiki

Farsi and Tajiki books

Since a few months I am learning Farsi, recently I also started to learn Tajiki, which is very similar except that it is using the Cyrillic script, which is more common to use west europeans due to the similarity to Greek letters. From my experience the Arabic script is not all that hard to learn as one might think at first.

For german-speaking beginners wanting to learn Farsi I can really recommend the book Persisch für Anfänger. To learn Tajiki this is a good textbook. There are no Tajiki textbooks in German!
